EAJS Conferences in Japan (Sept., 28-29, 2013)
EAJS Conferences in Japan
The European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS) has been organising an academic conference at a center of Japanese Studies in Europe every three years since the 1970s. At its last gathering in Tallinn, the EAJS international conference attracted 700 scholars from all over the world. As announced at the last membership meeting, EAJS plans, as a new activity, to organise a smaller conference in Japan within the triennial European conference schedule. As the inaugural conference for this new "EAJS Japan Conference", EAJS has selected the Faculty of Letters at Kyoto University as our local conference host and organiser.
